it takes a village
Virtual psychotherapy & parent consultation in Ontario
Because figuring it out shouldn’t have to happen alone.
Supporting mental health for kids, teens, young adults and families virtually across Ontario.
Compassionate, thoughtful psychology care
The Village Psychology was created around a simple idea: people do better when they feel understood, supported, and less alone.
I provide virtual psychotherapy and parent consultation for kids, teens, young adults, and families across Ontario, with a particular focus on neurodivergence, anxiety, mood, and the challenges that can come with growing up, finding your footing, and figuring out what you need.
My approach is collaborative, practical, and grounded in understanding the whole person. Rather than focusing only on symptoms, I look at the bigger picture — strengths, relationships, environment, development, and the patterns that may be keeping someone stuck. This detective work is my favourite part of the job.
For parents, that may mean making sense of a child’s behaviour and developing a clearer plan. For teens and young adults, it may mean having a space to better understand themselves, build useful skills, and feel more confident navigating life.
Once we understand the map, the path forward often becomes much clearer.
How I can help
I work virtually with children, teens, young adults, parents and families across Ontario. The work is tailored to the person in front of me rather than built around a one-size-fits-all treatment plan.
Support for anxiety, mood, neurodivergence, life transitions, emotional regulation, identity and the challenges of growing up.
A space to make sense of your child’s behaviour, understand what may be driving it, and leave with a clearer plan for what to try next.
Affirming support for young people who are diagnosed, questioning, or simply trying to understand why their brain seems to work differently.
Professional learning for educators
I provide evidence-informed professional workshops for private schools, Montessori programs, and daycare teams who want to better understand neurodevelopmental differences in the children they support.
Workshop content is tailored to the age and developmental stage of the children in your setting and grounded in peer-reviewed research, with a practical focus on what staff can notice, understand, and do differently in everyday classrooms.
Early support begins when adults understand what a child’s behaviour may be communicating.
Giving back in Oakville
Each year, The Village Psychology aims to partner with an Oakville psychology practice to help provide a psychological assessment at no cost to a local family facing financial barriers.
The goal is simple: create a community tradition that families can come to expect, and make high-quality assessment a little more accessible to someone who otherwise may not be able to obtain it.
The Village Psychology provides virtual psychotherapy services tailored for children, teens, young adults, parents, and families across Ontario. My services include individual therapy, family counselling, ADHD coaching, and neurodivergent support. I also have extensive experience working with young people going through life transitions, experiencing anxiety or mood issues, and struggling with suicide and self-harm.
To book a session, send me an email. I offer flexible appointments in the evenings and on weekends when needed, and I reply to emails within 24 hours. My rate is $250 per hour, which is standard for psychologists in Ontario. My services are covered by most insurance plans.
hello@thevillagepsychology.caI am registered with the College of Psychologists and Behavioural Analysts of Ontario. I received my graduate training at the University of Toronto. I have experience working in a variety of settings including the Toronto District School Board, Peel District School Board, SickKids Centre for Community Mental Health, The Child Development Institute, and The Wise Elephant Family Health Team.
I grew up in an immigrant family as an undiagnosed neurodivergent kid, alongside an older sister who was also undiagnosed. I know firsthand what it is like to have a lot of questions about yourself, but no clear answers. And when kids do not understand why certain things feel harder for them, they often fill in the blanks themselves: Something is wrong with me. I’m not good enough. I’m broken.
That experience has shaped the way I work today.
I am passionate about helping children, teens, young adults, and their families understand the map of how they got here. What has shaped this person? What are their strengths? Where are they getting stuck? What might their behaviour be communicating? And how do their development, relationships, environment, temperament, and neurodivergence fit together?
I love putting together that puzzle. I would rather spend time developing a thoughtful understanding of what is actually going on than rush into a generic treatment simply because it is the usual thing to do.
Once we understand the map, the path forward often becomes much clearer. Treatment can then grow naturally from that understanding — with strategies and supports that fit the actual person in front of me.
That is what I want The Village Psychology to offer: a place to make sense of the story first, and then figure out what comes next.
